"Moving on to spring", video project
Here's another small video I made.
This year I am getting more involved in the festivities and traditions for the Chinese new year, or Spring Festival. Somewhat related, I remembered that there was a tradition of burning Daruma dolls on new year's in Japan.
I received one as a gift many years ago. You are supposed to paint its eye with a goal in mind, and the unpainted one will remind you of this promise.
I've painted mine, but in the goal I set, my dear cat Nerino was included. He passed away two years ago. Now I have whittled a new Daruma doll and the 24th of February was his death anniversary, so I thought that it was a meaningful time to let go of unfulfilled and unfulfillable goals while moving on to spring.
